How eloquent can you be, alone on stage at the SwissTech Convention Center, with a personal speech? That’s the challenge that the Club de Débat Genevois and the EPFL Forum are issuing to EPFL students.
On Tuesday evening, a speech competition will take place, with numerous prizes for the winning students. The competition is open to spectators and supervised by a distinguished jury.
This initiative marks a step towards raising campus awareness of the importance of communication skills and public speaking for engineers and scientists.
This year, the competition will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 6.15pm in Ecublens at the SwissTech Convention Center. This event is organized in partnership with the Club Genevois de Débat.
The first selection will be made in CE15, with a 4-minute speech and a 3.5-minute Q&A session. You can choose from 3 topics.
5 people selected will be able to prepare a 10min speech on another topic among 3 with 5min of questions/answers. Only 1 winner and prizes are up for grabs!
The competition is open to spectators and supervised by a distinguished panel of judges.
Deadline for entries: Friday, September 27 at 11:59pm.
