FAQ

Forum EPFL is Europe’s largest student recruitment fair: over 200 companies and 130 start-ups come to meet EPFL students, graduates and doctoral candidates every year. For the past 43 editions, Forum EPFL’s Committee has been doing its utmost to facilitate the professional integration of EPFL students into the world of work.

Forum EPFL is organized each year by a committee of 20 student volunteers, joined by an assistant committee of 8 members in the run-up to the Forum week in October.

Every year, for one week in October, Forum EPFL brings EPFL students, graduates and doctoral students face-to-face with 200 companies and 130 start-ups. The aim of this week of meetings is to enable them to establish strong contact with potential future employers and thus facilitate their professional integration.

In addition to the Forum week, several events are organized throughout the year, such as Skills Weeks, which aim to prepare students for different recruitment processes, through conferences, workshops and much more. In addition, to raise students’ awareness of entrepreneurship and innovation, EPFL Forum organizes the Innovation Night, which tackles a variety of inspiring and topical subjects.

EPFL Forum Week is primarily organized for the benefit of EPFL students, graduates and doctoral candidates in their search for jobs and internships. However, anyone is free to visit during the week and no registration is required.

EPFL Forum week begins with the Get Ready Forum. It’s the last chance for students to prepare for their meetings with companies. Last-minute CV photos, CV correction sessions, sophrology workshops and much more are on the agenda. The day ends with the traditional Honorary Conference.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, companies have the opportunity to give presentations.

Tuesday is dedicated to start-ups: Start-up Day is a condensed forum designed to bring together various players in the world of entrepreneurship and introduce EPFL students to new horizons. The day concludes with the Concours d’éloquence.

Wednesday is dedicated to NGOs, IGOs and Laboratories: ONG/OIG/Laboratories Day.

Thursday and Friday are stand days, when companies come directly to meet EPFL students. These are complemented by workshops, interview booths and networking lunches, offering multiple opportunities for students to be recruited.

The members of our committee are committed to making our Forum a sustainable and responsible event. To this end, numerous actions are undertaken throughout the year and during the week of the Forum.

To find out more about our commitment, you can visit our Responsible Forum page.

Don’t hesitate to contact us, we’ll do our best to help you. We can be reached by email at forum@epfl.ch or on our social networks (see Contact page).

The whole week is open to the public.

Company presentations and stand visits are open to all. Company workshops, interview booths and contact lunches are organized by registration or by prior contact between the student and the company via a student account on our platform.

Admission to the salon is free for visitors.

The services offered by Forum EPFL to students, graduates and doctoral candidates are also free of charge. Some, such as workshops, interview booths and contact lunches, require only prior registration on our platform.
