Forum EPFL: a breeding ground for talents
Why is the EPFL among the world’s best universities of technology? The quality of its teaching and research is undoubtedly one of the reasons; but it is also thanks to the tight links it has woven, year after year, with the economic and industrial world; finally, it is through the diversity of its students’ associations.
Organised by a committee of invested students, the Forum EPFL is a perfect example of it. Now one of Europe’s largest recruitment fair, the Forum connects each year over 190 businesses and 85 startups, with students, graduates and post-graduates of our School. At the heart of EPFL’s campus for a week, it is an occasion for students to establish direct links with their future employers, and for the later to seek out their future best employees among a rich breeding ground for talents. This 40th edition of the Forum will be no different and I wish it already the best of success!

In 1982, a fourth of today’s students were sitting in EPFL’s auditoriums, and already, a small association was forming inside its walls, already conscious of this new millennium’s challenges. The same association has grown, 41 years later, still keeping the same goal: to make of Forum EPFL a catalyst for great encounters. Students meet with today’s economic actors, EPFL meets with the world, present meets with the future.
The Forum EPFL has become, year after year, the largest recruitment fair in Europe. It is a unique opportunity for future graduates to start building their network, to share with professionals and to get a feeling for the life that awaits them, outside of their school. As each individual is different, with its own expectations and demands, we have it at heart to build bridges with the future for each personality.
